Default hose wrap

I see some of you wrap your hoses in the engine bay with some sort of tape. Does it help strenghten them or were they done to protect them from being cut and scraped by the clamps. What type of tape do you use?

Thanks,

Henry

Default if you have Samco silicone hoses, they withstand tons of heat...while rubber does not.

i haven't seen taped hoses here.

Default I use a stiff spring on the hose coming from the "hot" pipe going to N75

I have burst this hose in the past and instead of paying dealer $$$ for the little hose I just use a high pressure fuel hose and slip a spring over it to keep it from kinking when it makes a tight bend.
