I'd go with a nice gray and maybe blue on the characters--against a black background?

my suggestion>>
is to paint the plastic trim over the radiator core support blue to match the car, leave the rest red.
as someone mentioned, looks like you got into an accident and repaired with parts from a red car.

I rarely give my opinion on stuff like that, because quite frankly do what you like
However that red on the blue - makes it looks like (superman) lol. Maybe a diff color blue? Something that is there, but lightly different? ) Shrugs, I like the paint - just not that color!
