Default How To Achieve Smoother Shift From First To Second Gear?

It seems like no matter what I do I can't achieve a smooth shift from first to second. I have no trouble shifting from any other gears. The only way I can achieve a smoother shift from 1st to 2nd is when I shift early or let the rmp go down between 2000rpm-3000rpm by that time I will be losing some speed and ending up slowing down. Does anyone have any advice or mods I can do to remedy this problem? Any help will be much appreciated.

Default I have the same issue...

I found it works best for me to shift between 3000 to 3500 rpm. Any lower or higher and it's a rough shift. I'm still trying to figure it out, but it also seems to help to apply slight pressure to the gas while letting out on the clutch.

Default Just a quick search reveals adjusting the linkage and switching to

synthetic tranny fluid. Preferably Redline or Amsoil.

matching rpm to gear is key. 2nd gear syncro usally 1st to go (at least on other sports cars)

Move your seat forward a click or two.

Default A couple of things you can do....>

That 1-2 shift can be a little rough. Several things can improve it though...Boost transition is a little awkward...Upgrading your DV can make that smoother (and a **** will make it smoother still). Also installing a set of $16 energy suspension poly bushings in the Dogbone will reduce the engine movement as torque application changes and make for a smoother shift. Redline fluid and a careful linkage adjustment will help a bit as well..

Default It's amazing how much difference something like this can make

If I've got the seat back a tick too far it is harder to get quick smooth shifts.
