Default How can a seat adjust in 20 ways? My parents got some promo (prono?) from BMW on

the new 760 and it says the front seats adjust in 20 ways and the rears in 14... WTF??? Even with electrically adjustable bolsters and headrests and such, really? Still, I don't know about *20* different adjustments... just seems excessive! How does that compare to an S class or other luxury cars? The big MBs have a massage system which is quite nice, but I don't know if that counts as a seat adjustment???

All of this just seems like a lot of potentially busted motors and failed electronics. (can you tell I drive an Audi - heh, heh!)

Default hmm... the down adjustment on my jetta's recaro's just went...

and those seats are only adjustable the two ways -- electronically anyway.

this is not a good omen.

Default 4 of the adjustments are for the ejector seats so you can make a quick escape

if any of your friends see you driving it.

That would make sense! Ladies who lunch often need emergency escape techniques! :-)

I suppose massage counts as an adjustment if it's prescribed by a chiropractor : )

Aren't 1&2 just the same constained continuum of motion? That seems like cheating... :-(
