How do you remove the roof join rails on the coupe?

I'm installing the OEM roof rack and I've got the plastic covers off on the hatch end of the roof rails and pulled the torx screw on that end. But, I can't get them to budge and don't want to force them.
My rack instructions say to "Dachfugenleiste links und rechts gemaB Reparaturleitfaden.."
...er.. rather...
"Remove roof joint strips on left and right sides as described in Audi TT workshop manual; general body repairs; exterior; Pages 66-1"
Anyone who's taken these off want to tell me how them come out after pulling the torx on the back end?
Thanks

The little door over the hard point flips up and it stays in the up position (approx 90 degrees). Unscrew the plastic inserts in the hard points, then place the rack with the end doors open and lower over the hard point covers.
Take the allen bolts and slide them down to contact the hard points (I found it was easier if I folded the ends of the rack in a little to facilitate access). Torque the bolts to the specified setting using the supplied torque wrench, close the end covers and lock.
Whatever rack you are putting on the roof bars, the T bolts slide in the channel when the end wing/ door is in the open position. Tighten them down and off you go.
P.S. make sure you check the tightness of whatever you have attached to the T-Bolts after a few miles, as they can vibrate loose.
Hopefully that was clear as mud.
