Default How to get rid of door dings?

How can I get rid of door dings? should I go to a body shop? How much will they charge? Does anyone know of one in the Washington DC area? Is it usually a good result? (on silver?)

Find a 'ding and dent' guy; they carry a toolset that look like miniature golf clubs, and they attempt to pop the ding from the inside after removing the inner door panels. Worked great on my 90S, but unfortunately he couldn't get to the worst ding because it was directly behind the intrusion beam. Also, they're much cheaper because there's no welding, grinding and painting this way, with like-new results. And they will usually come on-site, saving you two days in the body shop as well. I'm in Boston, so I can't give you names... Good luck.
