Default How are the headlight components attached?

I found a guy who can carbon-fiber the headlight housings, but I am wondering how it is attached to the front plastic lens, and the rest of the headlight? Is it glue? If so, what do you reseal it with?

Default Pieces....>

Proceed with caution....Screw up and you cannot buy these part individually......You're committed to a $1200 assembly...

Default Just stick it back together....>>

This is technically not a "sealed" system. Just make sure your inner lens and lights are super clean or you'll hate yourself in the morning....

No glue? How does it attach then, isn't it air tight?

Default It's not air tight...>>>

And the glue is soft enough that it will re-seal everything just fine. Just don't scrape it off when you separate the pieces...

Default Will it last long enough?

I have to send the headlight housings in to get them carbon fibered. I found a guy who inspected them and said he could cf them.

Default It'll stay sticky...>

It's a sealant that doesn't dry.....Good luck on the CF!
