The answer depends greatly on geography and dealership allocations. In the San Francisco bay area, dealers are quoting lead times of anywhere from 4 to 12 months, with most right around the 6 month range.
I gave my local dealer a refundable deposit in early August and was told to prepare myself for a 6 month wait. They conceeded that I might get the car earlier but advised me not to count on having it before the end of the year.
Then a cosmic miracle occurred, and my salesman called up to let me know that another buyer had changed his/her mind. On Wednesday afternoon, just 9 weeks after getting in the queue, I took delivery of my Blue/Blue 180Q.
The point is that luck also plays a role in how long the wait will end up being. Just remember, no matter how long it takes, it's worth the wait!

Placed my order on October 11 and was told "not later than April" for delivery. The dealer also said it was possible they could get a car in -- not necessarily mine, but one they could sell me -- as early as January.
