Sounds difficult and expensive. Don't think it's worth it. Not many have done it.

did you see spinal tap.. this one goes to eleven(amp).. its the same thing this goes to six

could justify getting rid of your 180 and buying a 225...IMO

Default Not so sure why we have all the naysayers....

maybe most of them forget there was such animal as a 180 quattro. Going from a 5 to 6 speed shouldn't be much trouble at all. The transmission cases are the same... if you have a 6 speed pulled out of a 225 quattro, it should be plug & play.

agreed...even the FWD would only need an O2M from a GTI, inputshafts and axles (i think thats it)

Default Actually - all you really need is the gear to replace the spacer in the 02M 5 speed

gear ratios would be slightly different - but no big deal.

all that gets you is a slightly higher 6th gear... doesn't address the gear spacing problem so obvious to me when I do a back-to-back A-B comparo from a 5 to 6 speed quattro coupe.
