How much does the 100 Octane APR program add over the 91/93? I have only seen dyno charts for 91/93

I was told an additional 12hp over the 93, but I haven't seen it on paper.

Default Good topic....got a question

I have an APR 93/100. I was told that the gains from the 100 are more from the program bumping up of he timing. Now if that's true and I run a Boost Machine with 100 octane mode do I have to run lower boost then the 93 mode??

Default While I don't have the 100 oct. program....>

Guys have said that running an aggressively adjusted Boost Machine on 93 is very similar (without the $5 gal. penalty). Dyno's I've seen on other VAG cars, factoring solely for boost, indicate 1 psi is good for about 5 hp...
YMMV..This was on an A4 motor

Default I know nothing of the boost machine. But >>

the timing advance w/100 creates a nice, high strung feel to the motor, unlike just more boost that usually tapers off well below redline.
The 100oct mode feels more like a sports car...less like a muscle car / truck

Default The secret to getting 110 Octane fuel is to fill up at your local municipal airport!

110 OT fuel is standard Avation fuel, and is much less expensive than if you purchase "race," fuel.

Expect to pay .50-1.00 more rather than $5.00 a gallon.

Default Just like using a 100 octane program is the secret to trashing a 1.8T motor.....

the amount of lead in Aviation fuel is not significant enough to worry about for "track days," once in a while.

You're not going to fill the tank with 100 OT "race," fuel at every fill up so you can run the 100 OT program all the time. It's a setting that has it purpose and is used sparingly between "normal," driving and track driving.

Quick Reply: How much does the 100 Octane APR program add over the 91/93? I have only seen dyno charts for 91/93
