So this weekend I have this hairbrained idea on taking off my wheels and cleaning the wheel wells, wheels, etc. in a spring cleaning fervor. I had a couple of beers (ok, maybe 3 or 4) and proceeded to clean my wheels. Well...the sad thing is that at the start of my intoxicated endeavor, I turned the wheel over onto exposed aggregate and it pocked up the wheel pretty nice. Gosh, it was such a nice day outside that my wits just went all to mush. LOL! Shortly after the sky's let loose in anger that I destroyed my lovely wheel. Probably a good thing to keep me from doing it again. Go ahead, laugh...I did. If I can't laugh at myself, who can? Now I am faced with refinishing all my wheels. The link that John gave me was good. They want $150 per wheel to do a nice job. Five days to do it though. At this point I might just get some wheels from Edge Racing for summer(and put wheel locks on this time!)for around $150ea for 17's. I did try a little touch up paint with a follow up of clear coat. It looks better, but not great. I like my OEM wheels. They are tough as hell (when taken care of properly). Just can't beat these Ronal wheels. I'm sure to replace with new they would be upwards of $400 each. Oh boy!

I was rotating the tires on my Elan and I set the wheel up straight. I realized immediately what I had done, but it was too late. The wheel rolled outside of my reach and proptly plopped face down on the driveway.
