How to remove glue?

This is for glass ONLY: I first use a sharp safety blade to remove the sticker as clean as possible. In fact, I first try to peel up just a small corner, then grab it to pull away the sticker *slowly*. But if I can't do that, then I carefully remove the sticker with the safety blade.
Next, I use 3M drafting tape, or for messy glue residue, I use duct tape - others here have mentioned using "gaffers" tape, not sure where to get that though. Anyway, I tear off a small piece of tape and repeatedly tack the tape against the residue, pull it away, and repeat until all of the glue residue has transferred to the tape. Sometimes it takes several pieces of tape. And it usually takes a little time, but it has always worked well for me and I removed all the stickers on my TT that way. It also prevents doing any real damage by potentially using scarier tools.

Though it seems to be a higher quality tape similar to duct tape, but not exactly the same.
It's what gaffers use to hold sets, lights, props, and other things together long enough to get the take in the can.
