What sort of packaging do I need to protect them? Can I have FedEx come pick them up? Thanks.

I don't follow the pricing very closely. Perhaps someone else can chime in?

Default The going rate is.....>>

Around $1000 + shipping. Several of us got this figure a few months ago w/tires at 50% tread wear.
If you're keeping your new tires you can resell for a few $100 probably....

Default If you are just selling wheels (without tires) you need a box for each wheel

You will want to bubble wrap or protect the face and lip of the wheels as best as you can. If the tires are still on the car, then a cardboard disc covering the entire front of the wheel/tire will do fine, then band two wheels/tires together and protect both sides by stacking the wheels front to back.

That's how Tire Rack ships. If you need boxes for the wheels, find a wheel shop that sells wheels and ask if they have any 17" boxes they can give or sell to you.

Default Beware cardboard scratches!

Yes, you can ship wheel and tire with little more than cardboard sides BUT be sure to use foam paper or some non-abrasive material directly against the wheel BEFORE you tape up the cardboard...otherwise you will scratch the clearcoat...and use double thick cardboard or two layers of regular cardboard.
