Hypothetical: You have about $25k to spend on a new car... What do you purchase?

The meaty LSD keeps the wheels from spinning, and the torque-limiting ECU makes sure that you're not overpowering your traction from a dig.
Interior-wise, the quality was up there with the other Japanese manufacturers of late: Not outstanding, but a lot nicer than they have been in the past. And the MS3 uses some different materials than the other 3 variants.
Take one for a drive and then come back and tell me how much you hated it.

And I really don't think I ever want to own another Audi (unless it's an R8, but that's unlikely in its own right).
Oh, and I think it's difficult to find Z coupes that have been owned by ardent care-takers but not flogged on the track.

FWD w/ power is annoying. a LSD won't keep them from spinning, just from spinning independant of each other (you know this). not saying it's not a great car. i truly believe it is. just not sure how it has more soul than a mkV GTi. and how the mkV has less soul than the mkIV.
obviously buy what you like. i'm sure the MS3 will serve you well. but it is what it is, a HEAVY powerful FWD japanese car. some good traits, some bad.
you asked for our opinions and i'm giving you mine.

that was about a year and half ago. I was finding very well maintained ones low mileage for around 30k, the only around 25 had 60kmiles plus... i imagine now you can get great ones for 25K now. I dunno if your like me but i search for 1 or 2 particular cars for close 2 or 3 month non stop til i find the perfect one. I found a great M for 25k and was goin to buy it, but the owner sold it the very next day after i looked at it.
But then i found the perfect TT.
I still want the m one day though.

I think everything has been mentioned, but I have heard good things about the speed3. A friend of mine has one and really likes it (minus the fact that he is in Michigan and is hating the summer tires in the snow).
Only thing else I can think of that hasn't been mentioned is the Saab 9-3. You could get a lower end version I imagine. I like the body style, but can't vouch for the car at all.
As for used. Can you find a Volvo S60R in that range? Just a thought. I'd say used Evo or Sti, but doesn't sound like you are interested in those.
