I can't believe it! No fade control on the Bose system
I have a 2002 coupe and no amount of changing codes could make the fade work. I was able to get the fade controller on the screen but it only had a negative effect, i.e. turning the fade to the back only decreased the volume until at full back there was no sound at all. I was able to change from the Bose to the standard Concert mode but again no fade control. I get very little sound out of my back speakers, with or w/o fade control. I've searched and this seems to be the way it is, although The Roadsters are able to get fade on their cars, only the Coupes are screwed.
Now my question: If the Rs can get fade isn't there a mechanical adjustment that can be made to the amp to get it to fade for the Cs as well. Are some wires not connected or can the C amp be swapped out with an R one, or ......
I'm I just stuck with a couple of 6.5" rear speakers and no sound.

those rears are mostly for fill>>>
the bose setup uses the door speakers mostly for imaging....the rears are more for fill.
What i will tell you tho, that a good headunit with 5v pre-outs will make the bose amp and speakers much better.
Problem with stereo mods...they are almost as addicting as performance mods...ALMOST! ;-P

All speakers (& stock amp) in the coupe are connected to the front channels...
you'll need to add speakers to the rear channel, hi outputs. Or, add an amp to the rear low outputs.
My amp is to the rear lo outs, and tweeters are attached to the rear high outs.

lost frequencies with added fader control
I tried something simliar with my 2003 Coupe with the Bose/Concert II. When I recoded to get the fader control and added an aftermarket amp and sub, the rear outs did NOT have the full frequency spectrum. I had to turn off the fader control for the rears to have the full frequency spectrum.

Re: lost frequencies with added fader control
I wonder if the "BOSEing" of this soundsystem uses some form of active crossover system on the rear speakers? I know BOSE is (in)famous for making active crossover and equalization systems in their home speaker equipment.
it is for this reason that I have never liked Bose.
