Default The project I am on now is using Siemens engines...

But the Riverside job is a new 7H project for GE. This is a test bed for the 7H Steam Turbine/Combustion Turbine/Generator on a single shaft in the 60 cycle market rated at 400 MW per train.

Default That sounds like it would be a fun job (if not a headache since its new)....

The site I'm at now has a 7FA gas turbine and a brand new ("designed from scratch") GE steam turbine - A14. Pretty neat to see the new "cutting edge" stuff, but sometimes frustrating too. I've never done a coupling alignment on a unit like the H units, but on all one shaft I bet it could get frustrating (more for the maintenance people instead of contruction though I guess). Good luck on that job, should be fun!
