Default I feel like an idiot...

I got home yesterday, it was a beautiful day, so I had the sunroof open. We were supposed to get rain in the AM on saturday - but I was supposed to go out friday night so I did not bother going to the car to close the roof. I later changed my mind and chose to stay in...
I was awoken at about 530am sat morning because my alarm was going off. Cue the sinking feeling as I remember that I did not close the roof.

The leather seats had large puddles in it, the floor boards had about an inch of water under the front seats, nearly every surface except the rear seats were soaked. I wet vacced the interior, and tried to air dry as much as possible in the humid weather.

All electronics, including seat warmers appear intact. I am concerned that I may now have to deal w/ corrosion or something worse (electronic gremlins) Are there any suggestions on what I can do to head off future problems?

Thanks,
QS

Default from what i hear, most of the interior can stand up to some moisture...

a friend of mine who worked at a dealership said that in the roadster at least, most everything was rather water resistant.

hope everything works out, and i'm sorry to hear about this... =/

You could pull out the entire interior to make sure it is dry.

Default Call your insurance claims dept

Even idiot acts are covered by your comp coverage as long as you did not cause the damage on purpose.

I think it would be easy. If it were mine I would call my insurance company.

Do you have a dehumidifer? Run it in your car for a few days maybe?

Default Thank you all for the advice, I did not think about insurance.

For all I pay for insurance, they owe me.
I will also try the dehumidifer idea, hopefully it works.
