I finally have the V1 pics posted . . .here they are. #1
<center><img src="http://131.107.68.28/AudiWorldPics/2000/larryttq_v1.jpg"></center><p>The Valentine 1 pictures of where I have installed the V1 unit and the CDM(consealed display module). Hopefully they look ok.
Before anyone asks about my car, I do not have the DID, so I am not blocking anything that is why I chose this mounting location.
The V1 is sticking out towards the passenger side of the car to allow rearward detection only. Otherwise the unit is behind the rearview mirror.

I took apart the quite a bit!

I first removed the fuse cover, then the fuse box got the screws removed. I then removed the knee bolster under the steering wheel. That was actually pretty simple, 2 torx screws. I then was able to remove the fuse panel. I read the different fuses and just picked what I thought was not being used and tapped into it. Off the top of my head I can't remember which one I chose but it goes off with the ignition. I think it might have been the cell phone, but not sure.

Re: Thanks... and then you ran the wire under/around the dash?
I ran the wire from the V1 mounted on the windshield along the upper headliner at the windshield. It then came to the drivers A-pillar and from there I fed it down behind the dash at the top of the dash where it meet the windshield.
