"Is it just me, or..." But. It occurs to me now that any time I start out any sentence with, "Is it just me, or..." whomever is responding replies with, "It's just you".

I guess it's just irresistible. Human nature. Easy target...

Well, here's another observation I've had:

I have a chipped, sportscar with a high output engine and a six speed manual transmission. I drive rather aggressively. In my day to day commutes, I encounter mostly four door sedans, entry level SUVs and other garden variety low horse powered automatic cars.

Why is it that 90% of these other drivers feel the need to floor it to bloody hell so that they can get in front of me only to drive slower than !@#? once they've done?

the look of disbelief in my rear view mirror. Mind you, I said only "goose it" for the pretenders ..... I save the "floor it" for serious contenders, of which there are not many.

they see a hot car they know is better than theirs, so they pass the nice/hot car to get satisfaction, and then slow down because
A) It makes them feel like they are controlling you
B) They just realized they are now the prime target of a radar trap
C) They don't want to keep going fast because if they do they will get their doors blown off thus solidifying their inferiority, so if they go slow and get passed it's ok cause theey decided to LET you pass them.
These are sick people so just smile and wave. What is fun is to stay parallel with them and frustrate the crap out of them.
