I got my vanity plate: "TT RIFIC" The strange thing about it

is that unlike a New York State regular plate, on which the letters and numbers are embossed, the vanity plate has the letters flat, like they were printed on.
I wonder if license plates are still made in the prisons?

The vanity plates are the only plates not made in the prisons.

That is why they are not embossed.
