I have a Forge 006 and it's sticking, I'm replacing it with the stock 'n'. Is there an upgrade path

to the newer (more reliable???) 007P??

What is entailed in "servicing" the Forge?

Default Ray..what piston do you have in the forge?

Call Strat if its the nylon one and they'll send you a new Aluminum one with some hi temp grease.

Default Better yet, get some high temp, synthetic grease... the volatiles won't boil off over time....

I'm trying the Staylube synthetic brake caliper grease... so far, so good...

Default Thanks for the tips. I'm now running a stock "N" until I service the Forge next week.

No time to mess with it right now.
BTW, my car came stock with the "n" and it started to honk like someone "stepped on a duck" after just 7k miles. So I have no doubt that the Forge is going right back on as soon as possible.

The car feels good again now. With the Forge, it was stumbling like mad. For the moment the "n" is doing the job; smooth acceleration and stumble-free shifts.
