Default Yeah, I curb-burned the rim on one of my OEMs too. They took it pretty damned well..

...compared to these. Fortunately, they only cost about $300 apiece so it's not like they're truely pricey.

Speaking of cheap, that's how you're going to feel after I walk all over you on Sunday. :-P

I really wanted to try it but my real problem is I don't want to go back to the OEM boot.

Default Dave, sorry to hear your problems -- Look on the good side, if you lived in Chicago you could

expect all your wheels to be screwed up pretty quickly. I've given up on trying to keep wheels looking good here with the crappy roads we have.

I wish you well and I do feel your pain.

Sorry to hear about your problem.

I know I was going to buy some separate rims, for my winter tires. But I think I'll keep the ones that came with the car (aluminum alloy).

Because it sounds, like ruining rims is pretty easy.

Default I feel your pain and know how you feel. read on to feel better

While making vacation plans using a WEB based system, I forgot to change the starting dates from the default date. I was playig with different conbinations and options and just plain forgot the make sure of the correct date on the last pass thru of booking the vacation.

Even thru 2-3 confirmation screens I didn't look at the date.

I didn't look at the confirmation email.

This cost me $500 in change penalties and another $250 because the low fare seats were no longer available. $750 for FREAKING small OVERSIGHT!

If I had caught the error by the next day, it would have been ok, but NOOOOO I had to realize it after a week.

$750 would have paid for almost 2 new wheels, which also happens to be the number of my Sportecs that have curb rashes), or a ABT/MTM chip, or an exhuast system.

It's been almost 3 weeks since this revelation so I can laugh about it, but I was not fun to be around during when I realized my mistake.
