I have a tick sound at low speeds on left side, what to look for???....>>>
we put car up on lift, spun wheels, looked for any signs and was not even able to hear any clicking noise. Even with car in the and in gear at slow speeds, still no noise but when I drive around streets, click noise is very noticable under 30 mph. Of course at higher speeds, I wont hear it as loud. But when driving around local streets and traffic areas, I can hear it as well as people on the side walk can hear it as I pass by them.
So what can cause such a tick sound on my left side?....Brake rotors worn? pads worn?...doubt it as that would sound more like a scrape or a grind as this is a tick sound. Kinda like when you were a kid and you had put one base ball card on your bike spokes and rode slowly. The faster you rode, the faster the tick vise versa.
Any ideas???

probably a sound made when a load is placed on the wheels...i would look for the
brake line touching the tire...it will drag it slightly and release it and make a sound. also, depending upon how low you are...check the center screw on the top of the inside of the fender well.

What's the offset on your wheels? Do you have spacers?
the click you are describing was present once on my car last year with a set of rims that were 18x8.5 with a 35 mm offset. I could not figure out where the tick sound was eminating from. Low and behold it was rubbing on the strut every time I turned a certain angle. Check it out.

wheels 18x8 ET 38 with 25mm spacers and never had tick for months until...>>
now when I get it back from shop and I figure I drive around cause I have a new clutch installed so I am trying to break the clutch in and so far since I got car back, I only put 200 miles on clutch.
So I drive around locally today and I start hearing the tick. Take it on over to the shop, put on lift and no tick is found up in air. Put car down, I drive around and tick still there. So tomorrow I will pull left side wheels off and look for myself as shop did not pull the wheels to inspect for tick noise.
