yup.... was driving home and noticed a nice little forest fire had sprung up and was spreading fast 2 blocks from the house.... so I scrambled home, grabbed the camera and went back to take pictures.

I didnt notice anyone else with cameras or videos.... so I snapped away. Unfortunately for me (but good for everyone else though) the fire started right behind the fire dept heh... so fire fighters were already on the scene... So no pictures of the raging inferno.. cause they already had it under control. but I did snap this shot of the firemen at work.

I called the paper and by my luck... the news editor happened to answer the phone. I told him I had a nice picture of the fire and firemen and didnt know where to send it. He seemed quite excited!

so I emailed it in... I kinda joked around that it would be cool if it made front page haha... so who knows maybe it will?

I know they print those late though... and distribute them early early morning... so maybe it will make it?
