The custom adapter is 1" diamiter and 1.5" long pipe which put under the SSQV like the forge DV. Also an 1" dimater solid aluminium to cover the open hose. I saw 50+ people have this SSQV installed in their 1.8T at vwvortex. No engine light and it seen safe. If you hear the sound, u will love it!

The standard hose is 1", and the opening for the HKS BOV is 1.5". You you had to mate the two together with some type of converter?

I did not really understand the term "long pipe"

They currently only make kits for VW's 1.8T's and last I heard were working on a kit for the TT, but I couldn't wait and did a custom install myself. What I did to intstall the HKS in my TT is purchased a 3/4" straight coupler and some 3/4" rubber hose and extended the current hose by 4 1/2" and then used the 90 degree bend and it currently resides as shown in the picture.
