Default I just wanted to confirm if i unplug the MAF and run it will it throw a DTC? While we're on the

subject, some have said to use an electronics clearer to clean the MAF , other Alcohol. What do you recommend?

Yes it will throw a code....Go to radio shack, and get their non residue electronics cleaner

Default Pretty much...try to give the shot some distance though

That wire is very fragie and could be damaged by a full on spray shot...

Default Well...no...>>

You have to take the MAF element out of the housing (2 tamperproof Torx screws). You clean the metal plates in the element.....

Damn those tamper proff torx are hard to find... i'll have to order one... or drill one

Default I found a bit set at Shucks for 3.99 that worked for me.

Didn't clean it though, replaced it with the VW MAF element and it TOTALLY fixed my problems.
