track for a Grand Prix, otherwise it's luck of the draw as to whether we will be able to get time. Monday and Tuesday nights are good, you get 12 minutes for your money instead of 8 and it's not crowded. Bit of a PITA for me to get there at that time, but...

it looks like you have done everything else that you can. Lets see if we can get 8 people to go one evening. I am sure it will be difficult to get that many people mid week. Maybe in Feb after everything gets back to normal.

I'm getting a hawkshead TPMS monitor so I can keep a closer eye on Tire pressures on the track, maybe get a nitrogen regulator and tank and switch to N2 in my tires. A 1-2 PSI variation over temperature will be much easier to manage than an 8-10 swing.
Big turbo won't help me brake or get through turns faster, it will just make me get stuck behind slow people that much faster.

I may have to make trip down to VIR with you sometime. I would love to put the Bimmer out there and see what it can do. The handling on this thing is so much better than my TT, and not to mention the braking too.

330's.. Your car would do quite well. Especially with that SMG.
Big turbo would be fast in the straights, but for the 10 grand it would cost me (kit, install, clutch, flywheel) I'm not sure that the extra 15-20mph at the end of the straight is worth it, especially if I lose torque coming out of the turns, I may lose what I gained on the straights from turbo lag. Not worth it. Much more fun to surprise the heck out of people with 400+hp cars with my poor widdle TT...

the K04 runs out of steam at 5.5k - which means you're not doing anything more than generating high EGT's. With a BT kit - you'll be putting down over 100 more whp between 4 and 7k than a K04. I don't know about you - but being able to keep the car in 3rd at 6500 rpms and making considerably more power makes alot more sense to me on the track than having more torque under 3k. Also - you don't need to push the same PSI to get the same power - again leading to lower temps which will equal more consistent power. Big torque down low on the street is fine since it makes it seem like your car is faster than it really is, but you aren't starting from a stop all the time on the track. The frustating thing for me in the TT is the 3 to 4 shift. With the short gearing - you are inbetween these gears alot on the track.

If I could pull it off reliably for under $5000, I'd start thinking about it.
