Default I miss my TT!

I took 'er in for an oil change yesterday and asked them to check the new drain plug they put in to see if it was leaking.

They came back and said there was a leak and that now the oil pan needs replacing. They didn't have one in stock with the sending unit, so they're keeping my car until Monday when it comes in.

I guess I could be disappointed that they didn't realize the oil pan was the problem all along and that they charged me $25 to put in a new drain plug (which isn't as bad s it seems considering they had to top off the oil).

Anyway, I get a new oil pan. What are the chances it's just the seal around the oil pan and not the pan itself.

I have pictures, but it's leaking from the front of the pan where it connects to the engine, and it runs down to the bottom of the pan and drips off the drain plug.

Thanks!

Default Here's what I'm talking about:

The oil seems to have ran down from several sources, or from a very wide leak in the pan seal.

See here:

I've posted this before, but this is what the plastic belly shield looked like when I first found it a few months ago:

Well, here's to replacing old parts with new!

eCheers!
