I need cell phone help, suggestions appreciated...
What are your favourite current or soon to be released phones? (not too small, not too big)
Any experiences good or bad?
Best place to aquire it? (price/service/availability)
Possibly adaptable to hands free in an A4? (not the most important)

Obviously! The A4 note gave that one away
I love my Nokia 8260, but if I recall right, you, like, don't. Only downside I've foung is that it seems hard to crank the volume in really noisy places. Why one should be trying to talk in really noisy places is another topic. 
Ultimately, I think it depends whether you "need" all the features of the latest models, or if you can use a slightly older model.
Example: I just needed to replace my PDA. Best choice for me was a gray market Palm Vx from eBay. Cheap. More capacity than I'll need. Does everything I want it to. No wireless, net, color, games, etc. Who cares? Didn't need it, didn't buy it.
