Default I NEED HELP. My Bailey valve is NOT what I was expecting Please respond all with Bailey (long)

Okay, first of all let me start by stating that I am on my second TT. I originally had a 180 with Garret/Borla... but I sold it to upgrade to my current 225 TTC. I had a problem with my 180 bypass valve wherebye it would make a rattle sound every time I came off the throttle quickly. So EVERY time I shifted gears I would here the chugggaaaa rattle and especially if I was pushing it. The dealer installed a new bypass valve (G valve) and the problem disappeared.

I was afraid that I would have the coke bottle sound on my new 225 but alas it was perfect. I ordered the Bailey valve from Todd anyways because with the chip/exhaust/pulley upgrades I'm planning I figured better be safe than sorry. My mechanic and I installed the Bailey valve together in about 10 minutes and I was looking forward to all the good things that everyone has been saying about it...

I took the car for a drive to test it out and what do you thing I noticed? The EXACT same rattle noise was back. I can't describe how IDENTICAL the noises were. And no power difference either. I drove like that for the next day and went back to my mechanic to double/triple check everything. I reset the computer, checked all the fittings and everything was perfect.

So either I have the FIRST defective Bailey valve as Todd at AWE claims is a possibility or some compatability problem regarding this valve and the 225 was overlooked.

So my question to ALL Bailey owners (especially the 225's) is: do you hear the rattle noise when you come off the throttle aggresively? Example...take off quickly shift at 5500 rpm and listen.

Please help.

Default I have read a post b4 saying the rattling noise could be the heat shield near the CAT. Chk it.

Default Installed Bailey on two 225s...no rattle but surginess gone, honk gone, power back...only sound...

is the occassional deep 'Darth Vader' swoosh...not loud and definitely not irritating.<p><img SRC="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/annapolissig.jpg" BORDER=0>

Default Bruno, I believe we have a different problem...

I have exactly the same issues you describe. However, I cannot tell you how to fix it. I will say that when I use my Bailey, and the stock ECU, I have a much less annoying sound...

I am open to suggestions but until we have some serious investigative work done, I am afraid we are stuck. Let's see what type of other comments we see over the next few weeks and determine our path from there.
