Stacey and I are in love with our Rebel XTi.
(Granted, I know it didn't get the ratings that Nikon's competitor did, but damn if I don't like the UI *so* much more!)
On an aside, check the prices at Costo on memory cards. If there's not one near you and you're interested, I'm happy to pick somethin' up and ship it. ;-D

Do you leave the ski carrier on when not in use?
Those are the worst for gas mileage -- I've found that the ski carriers alone suck about 2-3 mpg. In fact, with the way gas prices are lately, I've even taken the roof bars completely off unless needed.
