I actually haven't decided if I'm 86ing the rear spoiler or not, this is just an experiment.

But I do like that smooth Dietrich look.

Default Here's a pic of the actual piece

I wonder if it wouldn't be better to just cut the holes in the factory bumper cover?

I don't actually care for the front bumper so all I would need would be this.

Default been toying with the idea of something similar for over a year...

...and still haven't made up my mind. I'd (of course!) likely be modifiying the dietrich piece, but that means modifying a piece that already doesn't fit that well. My crappy photoshop skills aren't helping my ability to conceptualize the whole thing.

My main hold back at the moment is that it's a fiberglass piece (besides not fitting that well). I can just see it cracked in no time.

let me know what you think.

Default i've thought about that -- doing it to the stock rear, but ...

you wouldn't be able to do it like that. there is a line on the rear bumper that goes across, above the exhaust valence... that would ruin where the cut outs would be...

you could make the cut outs a little lower like this:

please exscuse the poor pshop skills...

Default right ...

...been looking at that too.. Not sure if the curves and three dimensional view would be right, but I"m still thinking of something like this. Avoids the high cost and the fiberglass issue. Doesn't lower the rear any though, which was my original goal.

Then most days I just look at the car and think it looks just right as it is, and decide not to mess with it....
