Default I think my laptop may be in the throes of death.....question for all you computer dudes....

Okay, so I got this laptop for free (its an older P3) and today the monitor has been going all wacky/squiggly on me for minutes at a time. So I'm thinking it may be on it's way out.

My question is, I've always wanted a Mac, but I just got a Vag-Com cable. Is there any way to run VAG-COM on a Mac? Or, am I just gonna have to buy another Winblows laptop?

Default Here is a list of emulators that would allow you to run Windows on a mac...

And then you probably could use vagcom...<ul><li><a href="http://www.macwindows.com/emulator.html">http://www.macwindows.com/emulator.html</a</li></ul>

Default Anyone have experience with this...I'd hate to put out the scratch for a Mac

and not have it work.

Default You have to use what works....

VAG-COM is a software package for Windows that emulates the functions of the dealers' very expensive proprietary scan tools. To see what functions it can perform as compared to the dealers' tools, check out our Function Chart.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/product.html">http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/product.html</a</li></ul>

Default I was just hoping that there would be a reliable way because

I really had my heart set on a Mac, and didn't want to have to go back to Windows.......But, I guess I may have to take one for the team.

Default Try here...

For an alternative. VPC 7 may be an improvement over 6. May not be worth the $159 though.<ul><li><a href="http://mindtrends.com/vag-com/">here.</a></li></ul>
