Actually, I like it, but then I grew up here, yes some people really fight both the total light in
the summer and the almost total dark in the winter. My philosophy is that it all balances out. We tend to be more active in the summer, more sedentary in the winter. People are out playing golf tonight, runners delight in the extra hours. Summer solstice is both celebrated and dreaded for once it arrives the days shorten and winter looms for certain... almost time to put on the snow tires... generally right after Labor Day. The daylight does play havoc with the tourists who aren't here long enuf to adapt.
