Default 'IF" Audi offered to repurchase your TT, what would be fair? (more)

We're talking about your dealer price (no markups, dealer incentives, post-sale modifications, etc.)
If your car was, for example, $3x,xxx, and it had (to the nearest thousand) x(x),xxx miles.
Curious to see the answers. Let's not post wasted stuff, like "not for all the tea in China" or "not for a million bucks." Let's post some honest numbers and explanations.
Thanks.

I would take a deduction for mileage in a trade up to a 225TT.

Re: '$33K, less .32 per mi ($1,792) with 225 trade up at base + no mark up - TT rocks

Audi has offered to buyback my TT due to the well-documented problems that I have had (70 days in the shop). They offered me all of my money back (including tax, LoJack etc.), less the standard Lemon Law offset for mileage up to the point when I first took my TT into the shop (5500 miles). I believe that's about a $1,700 deduction.

I would consider this offer, plus $1,000 over invoice on a new 225 to be a reasonable offer.

Re: "Wasted Stuff" -- I'm keeping what I have. I suspect more fun than the Quattro or the 225 mod

Does anyone really believe that Audi would be stupid enough to offer buybacks to early TT owners based upon the evidence to date? I wasn't in the states when Audi had problems some years ago and I cannot remember any problems with cars in the UK so I don't know if they did it back then. It seems that the modifications do the job even if they dull the fun factor.

Personally I love the way my fwd180 handles and I will fight any changes. However, if I was offered a new modified roadster in replacement for my deathtrap I might think about it!

Five fatalities in 60,000 autos, doth not a "deathtrap" make. Take care with terminology
