If I buy something from Canada on eBay, will I have to pay any other fees than shipping?

I've been quoted by the seller $35 for shipping, which is a lot for shipping but if I can get the item at a good price it might be worth it. I just want to make sure I'm not going to have to pay any other duties or taxes when it crosses the border. Anyone have any experience with this?

Default I don't think there are import tax on car parts

I have brought many car parts over to the US from asia. I always declare them and never have any problem.

Default it's actually a motorcycle jacket...

It's probably not worth messing with just to save a few bucks.

Default Used BBS wheels purchased on ebay from Vancouver BC, shipped to

Oregon, arrived with a $40 COD attached. Customs charges... roughly $10/wheel. I believe it was a Canadian assessment.

Default I have bought stuff in the UK, Australia and Hong Kong. No import duties.

There are usually exemptions for small amounts, and the shippers are typically "thoughtful" when they fill out the form.

I'm just worried I'm gonna try to save $50 and end up spending it on import duties
