I'm loving this car
Idle Sunday afternoon post ... I started driving to work a few weeks ago, got sick of taking the train into Manhattan every day. First week I drove our other car, nice automatic sedan, very spacious and easy, no shifting - nearly went back to the train because it was no fun. The next week I took the TT, and I've been taking it ever since. I've really had a blast driving 100 miles a day, I'm going to keep driving in now, at least until the weather gets bad, then back to the train.
2 1/2 years and I'm still LOVING this car.

Re: I'm loving this car
I could'nt agree more. The traffic in can be slow moving, but the run home at 1:00 am is pure fun. Route 3 is wide open.
I uesed to take the car just on weekends but no more.

Re: I'm loving this car
I'm the other way around - traffic on 9A/Henry Hudson/West Side Highway is good on the way in at 7am, mostly on the way home up the FDR/87 5-6pm, it's not so good. Today however I made the 50 miles home in 60 minutes, that includes the bit in Manhattan where I drive VERY slowly, those potholes are nasty! Average speed 50mph, not too bad ... but it's a Monday.
Best thing I do every day is pick the car up from the garage. A bunch of us are waiting for our cars and the TT rolls down the ramp and I get in. Everyone else gets into their chevy/SUV/whatever. You can hear the TT arriving, it has a deep throaty roar, everyone looks. I love it. (note yes I checked the garage out beforehand and I have made it very clear how I want my car treated when they drive it away. Up to now they have been excellent with it.)
