Default I'm a stranger to this board and I'm with the S4 camp and I had a ?

What is the difference between the 180 and 225 horsepower cars besides the two and four wheel drive? As near as I can tell the engines are identical? Can someone enlighten me?

Thanks

P.S. I was on the mass pike heading into boston with one of you maniacs and we were doin a solid 165 and I was barely pulling on him. nice car guys.

Default you can get a 180 quattro too

225 gets 2 exhaust outlets, bigger turbo and some other miscellaneous things that im too dumb to remember. if you try a search you can find out every little detail.

Default Maniacs... LOL....

Major differences are a K04 turbo instead of a K03, the 225 gets twin intercoolers vs. one, different downpipe and twin-exit exhaust on the 225 vs. single-exit, a six-speed box on the 225 to make the K04 turbo lag less troublesome, different (lower)compression ratio on the 225, and different injectors (I think). Otherwise, the motor is the same.

What else did I miss?

MPH and stage III would wreck a TT.

I'd say he means that a Stg. III S4 would walk away from a TT.

Default I should expect so...Quite a serious bump in power from a Ko4 S4

However, track sessions might be a different story.

Default 165-168 is about all a TT will do due to gearing...and thats not taking into account drag

Or horsepower...

The 6 speed custom conversion will be the next mod once I figure out how to install the DTM bodywork ;-)
