Default Info on Dahlback chip...

I can't understand a thing on the website...I've got a 2002 TT 180 FWD, the chip alone shows 195 hp, but 276lb/ft! That's crazy! But only 15 more hp...anybody have this chip on a 180? Thanks...

Default (torque * rpm) / 5252 = hp (IANAAE)

so, torque = (hp * 5252) / rpm. If you're making more horsepower at a lower rpm then you get more torque. 200hp at 5000rpm is 210lb ft, if you make 200hp at 2000rpm it's 525lb ft. At least I think that's how it works. So if that 195hp happens at a much lower rpm than the stock 180hp then you would get higher peak torque. I think.

Default 215 with Intake and Catback? Shoot, I'm at 212 with just the Revo!

I would think that I would be up to those torque specs where I am at now. Cat back and intake would take me over the 225hp mark.

Default It's what they claim. You dyno'd 215?

Or you just claiming from Revo? Dahlback has different software for differerent levels. I think that his quotes are on 91 octane and they are ALWAYS underrrated.

Default Lots of us 225's have his software...

More converts everyday. Best chipmaker IMHO for audi right now (well, I'd say MTM or ABT is probably similar). GIAC is next in my mind. REVO and APR behind that.

I've run REVO, GIAC, and Dahlback.

Default So, any recommendations?

The Revo, or the Dahlback...I was gonna do a boost guage, but with the either of those, maybe I wouldn't have to. This is great by the way. Thanks everyone here. I'm in Austin, Texas and don't have as many resources as some of you guys.

Default I'd go Dahlback again... and you NEED a boost gauge....

which i'd go electronic over mechanical on.

I thought Revo was "okay" not as good as the GIAC I had right before, and not as good as the Dahlback I had right after.

All in all driveability, smoothness, pull, etc.. has all been in Dahlback's favor with GIAC right behind.

Default Whoops...I meant boost machine...

Thanks...The Revo numbers look great, but I'm looking for real world experience. I just don't want to have to shy away anymore when I see a 225TT or a Jeep with a hemi! (just kidding) Being lighter, I should be able to catch up here! Thanks for all the help everyone.

Default You'll be happy

with Dahlback. Call up Danny from KMDtuning.com and he'll point you in the right direction. A nice chip, DV and N75 and you'll be in good shape.
