Default Installed Forge 007P DV today...>>>

Everything went very smoothly thanks to all the help on the Forum yesterday. Took me about 10-15 minutes to complete the job. The hardest part was removing the little one time clamp from the vacuum nipple. Kareem, I did remove the wiring harness that crossed the top of the old DV like you said and it did make a big differance as to the ease of removing the old valve as compared to if I had left it in place. I used the green spring with one shim. To me, upon installation of the Forge DV, it feels like I have slower throttle/boost response especially in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th gear. 1st and 2nd are pretty quick. I am also running APR 93 ocatane. Is it just the smoother delivery of power/boost that I feel as compared to before with the the OEM valve? Do I need to play around some more with the springs and shim adjustment? TIA

You think the extra shim will make the throttle/boost resonse more quicker?

Default So just unscrew the top and leave all the hoses intact?>>>

I guess my question is do I need to take off the vacuum nipple to unscrew the top off of the DV?

Default Glad to hear it went smoothly >>

Mine took about 90 minutes, because I was totally unprepared for exactly how tricky it was to get that one-time-use clamp off. My DV felt like it was located a little farther back than it should've been, and getting in there was impossible with any of the tools I had.

So I took a long thin metal file and filed that sucker right off. Problem solved! :-D
