I believe it will always stay on (very minimal current draw), but the backlight should turn off
after one hour.
The power-off procedure is on the "development" list, so it will improve in future software revisions. I am able to supply software upgrades as well, so they do not need to be sent back to the UK. What software are you running right now?

I don't know what version. The manual says V1 and the front of the disc says S/N 9. I'd appreciate it if you can let me know of any updates, like the boost pressure change from mbars.

The software version is displayed when you turn it on, but s/n 9 is certainly the orignal
1.00 version. He is up to 1.03 now. You can see the software versions on his site (link below).
