Default Instrument Cluster Failure?

TT became 4 years old on Dec. 4. Instruments went out yesterday, Dec. 22. No illumination, no speedo reading, no tach reading, no fuel guage reading, no temp guage reading and the little info screen says -4 all the time and doesn't cycle through any other display items.

Could this be a fuse or did I just encounter the infamous instrument cluster failure? Does Audi usually replace (if needed) for cars out of warranty?

Any info. appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Could be but test your battery first or replace it if it's still original.

Default There is a pair of fuses as well you could check

Some have reported some success pulling both fuses and doing a bit of a reset on the cluster, 10 and 14 or 11 and 14 or something like that. You're going to have to search for the specific fuses but you should check them anyways.

Otherwise our TT's are really sensative when it comes to it's power supply. When the battery starts getting old and the voltage starts to dip a bit strange things happen. And it's a lot cheaper to replace a battery than a cluster.
