Instrument cluster lighting poal!
TT tweakers quide says you can use the vag-com to code the cluster lighting for: nothing lit, needles only lit, numbers only lit or all lit.
On my car the needles only are lit. On Johns car everything is lit up. We tried to recode his cluster per the instructions but his cluster won't let us, it doesn't have any coding at all for lighting. Mine does and it matches what is in the guide.
I think whoever installed his replacement cluster didn't code something right. John thinks it's possibly a late model thing and all new clusters will be lit like that and unchangable.
So...
what year is your car
how is your cluster lit (headlights off)
is it the original or a replacement cluster and when was it replaced?
thanks

Oh, and Dani, just how close is the "l" to the "a" on your keyboard?
Or did you borrow your computer from Dan Quayle?
Just teasing!
I'm not questioning your ability to spell "poll", but it did take me a quick second . . .
