Intermittent speaker cut-out fixed at 20k checkup!

Well, they found the loose connections and fixed the speaker problem, which is good . .. but I think they introduced the morse code problem, which I didn't have before. It only shows up on the AM band though as opposed to the CD changer. Hmmm.

Service experience was good though. Diablo Audi in Concord has done my 10 and 20k services, and both have been great. Highly recommended.

phil -- at least on the 2000 models, there has been significant interference...

on AM coming from the haldex unit...it's not gounded and the antenna cable goes right next to it -- so it picks up a static charge! it can be fixed (and was on my coupe) by running a ground wire from the haldex.

of course, the antenna on the coupe is lousy, since it's contained in the rear windshield!

The new fix is to replace the Haldex control unit.... that and a faulty antenna amp fixed mine...

Thanks people, I'll have them look at it soon.

How do you like your suspension set up? I'll be going aftermarket soon, but need to test the options. Would love to catch a ride sometime (you are in the bay area right?)
