Default iPod mounting in a not-so-permanent way?

So I just got the powerpod firewire charger (which does look like it was made for the TT), although I never thought that I would need more than 10 hours... guess I do.

Anyway, I want to mount the iPod but I really only want to do it for this trip. Normally I put it in the center holder and close the door (after selecting 1 of 800 songs) but I figure for a 12 hour drive I better be able to see the thing.

Anyone mount it with something that can be taken off really easily (minutes, hours, days)?

Default How about getting the cell phone mount from claire . .

and finding a holder for the ipod that you could mount to it? Seems like a pretty straight forward solution that would require minimal work.

Default Actually the input voltage is 12V, however it seems all of the adapters filter and condition...

besides giving you a firewire 6 pin plug. Pretty hard to find a firewire plug you can solder to.

Money grows on trees doesn't it?

I take it that is your setup . . . how are you interfacing the iPod with the stereo?

Currently through a wired (co-ax) FM Modulator. Waiting for Blitzsafe's dual Aux adapter for the CD.

Default New 10GB firewire iPod with organizer...

Speaking of money growing on trees, you might want to check out the new iPod..comes with free engraving and new organizer software.

Think I'd still prefer burning disposable cd's from iTunes, or getting a future XM/mp3 CD player/tuner into my TT -2- be.
