Issue is engine kill
Hi all -
I had the wierdest experience last night and wanted to see if anyone else has encountered it.
I valet parked my car at Foxwoods casino, leaving the valet my valet key. When I was waiting to get my car back at the end of the evening, the valet informed me that my car would start and then die. I assumed it was something to do with the valet key, so we went into the garage and tried my master key. I attempted to start my car and as he said it would start and them the engine would kill. It didn't appear to be a mechanical problem , it seemed as though my cars alarm was disabling the ignition (a problem I had on an earlier car so I knew what was happining). Having tried both the valet and master keys to no avail, I swapped my cars ECU back to stock (I run a apr chipped ecu normally) and still the car would not start and stay running. Finally I decied to call Audi roadside assistance, and they informed me they would flat bed may car to the nearest dealership (Wallingfoed Audi), but I was responsable for my own transportation. (I will discuss my annoyance with that in a minute). So here I was 1.5 hrs from home at 2am, stuck, waiting for audi to come get my car. I decided I would continue to try starting my car, on the fluke chance that it would start, and after about 25 minutes (whole ordeal now lasting ~1.5 hrs) and low and behold the car finally starts, and I drive home. I notice as I am leaving the Casino that the car has ~ 25 miles more than when it arrived(I was tracking miles to see how far Foxwoods was from my house). I wonder if they took the car for a joy ride using the valet key and it somehow triggerd the kill on the alarm. I recall my dealer telling me that the valet could not be used for full time driving use when I got the car and wonder if this is a feature of the alarm. I am taking the car to the dealer Thurs for service and I want them to look into it.
Has anyone ever encountered this? and also what the f*ck is the deal w/ audi roadside, When I had my BMW the roadside, would either 1)put you in a hotel, 2) give you a loaner, or 3) take you to a destination of choice within reason. Audi said they would take the car but I was on my own. What the hell would I have done if I was on the side of the road in the middle of no where? I find this to be a complete joke, hell even AAA will at least let you ride w/ the car to the drop point.
Well that was my oh so exciting evening, I even won $200 at the casino, and now my car starts just fine. Also I have attached a link to a pic of my car, b/c since my last post I had my Grill intalled

never heard that with the valet key . . .
never actually used it. Still in the plastic bag it came in.
Are you not even going to question the Casino about the 25 miles that was put onto your car? I would be livid!
Congrats on the $200 win.
Why are you not coming down to TT-East with everyone else?

My car was doing the start then die thing last week...
...But it turned out to be a bad gas guage, and I was actually out of gas. I was parked on a slight incline when it happened, so of course, the car started once the dealer had it on flat ground.
As for the roadside assistance thing, Audi actually uses another company (USAA, I believe) and they just call a towing company that is local to you so I guess it's kinda up to the tow truck driver whether you get to go somewhere or not. I've had the truck driver take me with the car before with no problem...I even had him take me home after dropping the car off at the dealer.

engine kill
I've been having the same problem with a warm engine. Starts fine then just dies. Seems to help if I swith off the CD player and wait for the OK signal to go off before starting. No problem cold starting so far. Any suggestions for what the problem may be.
