I've decided to make a very modest stereo upgrade to the TT

and save the big system for a non-sports car. Thanks for letting me listen to your dope systems at TTE, but I think I'd rather put my TT mod money towards suspension right now after seeing that at TTE also ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'm thinking replacing the speakers in the door will be a good start and I like these. Just wanted to know before I get them if they will fit for shizzle?
Infinity Kappa 60.5cs
6-1/2" Component Speaker System (evan, is this what you got?)
<img src="http://www.ikesound.com/images/ebay/InfinityKappa60.5cs.jpg">
Features-
Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphragm Plus One woofer cone
1" C.M.M.D. dome tweeter can be flush-, surface-, or angle-mounted
hi-roll rubber surround
2-way crossovers (high-pass/low-pass at 3500 Hz, 18 dB/octave)
frequency response 45-21,000 Hz
power range 2-90 watts RMS
peak power handling 270 watts
sensitivity 90 dB
top-mount depth 2-3/16"
So these should work, eh? For a hundo-fity I figure it's a damn fine deal
Also, will the crossovers fit in the door in the factory location?
Crossover Dimensions: L=4.251", W=3.008", H=1.437"
Thanks!!!

And if I'm not mistaken, the Bose system amp operates at a 2 ohm load, requiring either 2 pair of 4 ohm speakers per side, or swap out the amp. I'm currently researching various sources to find 2 ohm speakers....no luck so far :-(.
Let us know if you find any! Good luck!

Those are the snazzier model that directly replaced the outgoing model I purchased (remember the Crutchfield deal I told you about?) These newer ones are a little more efficient (by 1dB). Crossovers look to be the same size as mine. They should work great!
BTW, the reason my crossovers were a pain is because I was trying to keep them under the foam inner panel liner to avoid moisture. I ended up mounting them with their plastic covers removed, inside of ziploc bags. :-) Don't worry, you'll find a place for them.
