Default I've got the drips.......

You may remember last weekend that I posted some pics of some areas of the bottom of the engine when I was doing my FMIC install.....some areas around the bottom driver's side of the engine were a little wet with oil. It appeared it was coming from somewhere above....Here's the wet areas:

<img src="http://images20.fotki.com/v355/photos/4/469393/4234841/100_1566-vi.jpg?1162679221">

<img src="http://images19.fotki.com/v358/photos/4/469393/4234841/100_1567-vi.jpg?1162679245">

<img src="http://images20.fotki.com/v355/photos/4/469393/4234841/100_1568-vi.jpg?1162679269">

<img src="http://images19.fotki.com/v358/photos/4/469393/4234841/100_1602-vi.jpg?1162679291">

<img src="http://images19.fotki.com/v358/photos/4/469393/4234841/100_1603-vi.jpg?1162679322">

So....I was poking around and noticed this little "tee" looking fitting. It appears oil-gummy-wet. In the first pic, it's in the area down between the fuel pressure regulator and the big silver round valve there.....

<img src="http://images20.fotki.com/v356/photos/4/469393/4234841/100_1604-vi.jpg?1163115320">

And here's two zoomed in shots of this tee....What is it and could this be what is leaking/dripping and dripping down onto the engine and into my belly pan?

Default I think that's the PCV system and mine looks the same

I think that might be the source of my leak as well (my engine has the same drip pattern as yours). I'm also thinking I might have a leak from the seal where the driveshaft comes out of the transmission tho.

Default Ok...maybe someone else can confirm this and.....

how to fix it.....I hate having ANY kind of drips/leaks associated with my engine.

Default yep. that rubber "T" is the PCV holder...

you can buy a new one, and it's probably worth it to change the valve itself too, it's the plastic type. The parts are "dealer items" and IIRC, I saw them on Impex the other day too. You'll have to cut off the single use clamps and replace them with the screw type...

I had the driveshaft/tranny leak. Tranny flange seal was replaced. No more leak

Do I dare ask how much that cost? I'm guessing it was a warranty fix

Default I had to replace the valve and a hose from the crankcase vent...

discovered it was cracked when I did a pressure test.
