Default I've got an exhaust leak under the OEM clamp that connects to the aftermarket cat back exhaust....

It has been bugging me for a while now and I finally tried to fix it over the weekend. I just figured that I'd have to loosen it up and slide it one way or the other, but this didn't fix the problem. It is perfectly centered between the two pipes (each pipe is pretty far into it...probably 2 inches at least) and the damn thing is still leaking.

What's the best method to fix this? A new clamp? or just put some kind of sealant on the leak? If so, can anyone recommend a sealant.

Thanks

Default Get band clamps from J.C. Whitney and/or Borla and that'll clear right up.

The cat-to-adapter splice takes a 2 1/2" I think and anything further back takes 2 3/4". The J.C. Whitney clamps are way cheaper than Borla, but they don't sell a 2 3/4" clamp.

Default I actually think the J.C. Whitney clamps are engineered better to boot. If they made a 2 3/4"...

...I would have bought them all there.

Default What size is that section of the stock pipe? 2.5" I'd guess....

or I could go out and crawl under my car with a pair of calipers and measure it.....
