Default I've got the slowest TT here...>>>

Went for some runs this weekend to see what this car has (long after Revo mod)and the best I could manage was 8.13 for 0-60 time. WTF!! This car is a slug! I have a 180 with the ATC engine. Is this the best that it gets? Way to slow. I thought that the FWD could get times under 7sec? Anyone have any suggestions on where I might improve? Injen intake is off and now just running the Revo chip and Forge 007 diverter valve. Could new spark plugs get me more? Haven't change them since I bought the car more than a year ago.

Default seems a bit off.>>>

but remember, the TT is geared short and not conducive to 0-60 times...you need two shifts to get to 60mph in my 225....not sure about the 180's. Figure a shift is equal to .5 sec's in your 0-60 time...
Then you have to figure out how to launch it correctly so you are on boost and making max Torque so you can get off the line quickly....

and lastly...what was used to measure your 0-60? GPS based solutions are the most accurate, and G-techs have a tendency to be off...especially if they are not calibrated correctly....

FWD 180 can hit over 60 mph in 2d gear.

Default How about some info on your launching/shifting technique?? Driver is a huge factor here.

Besides that, plenty of bolt ons you could still do to improve power. C & D tested a stock 180 FWD Roadster in 2001, I think, and recorded 7.3 sec to 60, I think. With the usual mods and appropriately aggressive and wuick technique, mid sixes should be doable, much beyond that, more power will just go up in smoke - more conducive to improving in-gear times.

Default Ok, here are my techniques, and I am no pro...>>>

I used a stop watch in my right hand to time myself. Launched at 5k in first, second gear over 5.5k, etc...Seemed very, very sluggish to spool up in first gear, and other gears. No wheel spin/tire chirp, just slow as molasses. I have noticed my idle is a little rougher than normal lately. Now one thing I know here is that my Revo mod is not what it was when I had the trial version. Puts out tops 195hp. APR claims a 30hp gain minimum.

What do you mean? If I stayed in first gear my engine would be toast! LOL!

Default I agree - I'm WELL under that...

and like John says, a 5 spd only needs one shift to hit 60

Seriously? So second gear should hit 60 huh? So what is your time then if I may ask? Are we talking sub 6?

Default If you launched at those speeds and got no wheelspin, something must be VERY wrong!

No "spool up"?? Since max boost is developed as low as around 1950rpm, if you are launching the mid to upper 2000 range, that should put you on the ragged edge of maintaining some traction - just the right blend of whell spin, too. I can't imagine why you wouldn't be sitting still in the middle of a cloud of smoke launching at the engine sppeds you used! ESP/ASR or whatever yours has was switched off?

What size wheels and tires? Stock or close too it?
